Smile every minute of your life....

This year has been pretty great to me. Not only have a got the best family and friends, but I finally moved on with my life and got a job I like and now have been dating my boyfriend Tony for 4 months. I love that we started dating on May 4th. And we will celebrate our 6th anniversary on my 25th birthday. He treats me like a princess and makes sure I am ok and takes me through things. He kind of took over where Mishy was for over 5 months when she lived her with me, before moving to LA. Her dreams are coming true and now so are mine. So I am now applying to grad school to become an Occupational Therapist. Since I have been working at Medstar, I have learned what exactly they do with patients on a daily basis. However instead of working with the elderly, I would love to work in the field of disabled children. I have been fascinated with autistic children since I met my ex Andrew who have has a high functioning form called Aspergers. And when I went to his group, I fell in love in what Angel, the group owner does on a daily basis. She made me want to work with those that need the help. Now that my 3 week old niece was born I have also been leaning toward working in the hospitals working on infants that have s defect that limits blood flow of the heart. It could be on eaither side, Anya's is on her left. Doctors were able to do open heart surgery after two days old. It went very well, and even with some minor setbacks it seems that she is ahead of where she should be with progress. I am so very proud of her and how far she has come along in the last three weeks. She may even be able to come home soon. I know my whole family is ready to have her home. In the next few days I will entering into a mega weight loss challenge and I intend on writing about the whole experience here. I have been on and off diets and working out, but I was never really successful, but I am determined to become a size 10 again. So fit Mary will be back. And even with a few medical issues I am still able to work out enough for it to make a difference. However, I am afraid if i do need surgery on my back, that it will interfere with the losing weight. But we will see how that goes down the line. The next few months are going to be crazy with my brother and sister in law getting married, in October, NYC trip with the boy in November and Christmas time coming up, I am excited to see what is in store. I am hoping to be accepted in Towson, and lose at least 30 lbs by the end of the end of the year. Here is hoping. Look for more blogs from me in the next few days about the Mega Weight Loss Challenge and how I will tackle the next chapter in my life. Tony he following are some pics of my niece and Tony and I.
